Cyber Monday, Cyber Success


Cyber Monday follow up: With Black Friday reaching record numbers in sales and projections for Cyber Monday outreaching previous years, the nation sat and watched. Cyber Monday in 2011 was a success, according to comScore,Inc. over $1.25 billion was spent online in the U.S. on Cyber Monday, up 22 percent from last year, exhibiting the largest online spending day in history and the second day on record to surpass the billion-dollar threshold.

So Where did the term Cyber Monday excatly come from you may ask? 

"Well in 2005 Shop.org, an association of multi-channel retailers first to coined the term in 2005 after retailers discovered that online sales increased on that particular day. In 2006, Shop.org launched the CyberMonday.com portal, a one-stop shop for Cyber Monday deals. Cyber Monday is now one of the biggest online shopping days of the year".
