$52B Influx Into Holiday Season

As crowds flocked to retailers over the weekend the U.S. Market has received a nice boost unnecessary spending into the economy. Black Friday and Thanksgiving weekend reached record breaking numbers. According to the National Retail Federation (NRF) a total of 226 million shoppers spent $52.4 billion, up from $45 billion last year, a 16% increase. Sales gains were spread across all categories. Biggest winners in retail this year were, Wal-Mart, Best Buy, Kohl's and Macy's. Stay tuned for updates on Cyber Monday's projected big day.
